Welcome the New Year with

Native American drumming, singing and ceremony

Featuring

Larry Lockwood

Champion Fancy Dancer, Drummer & Storyteller

In his words;

"The Drum is considered to be one the oldest traditions of all Native American tribes, and because of this the Drum is given the respect of an elder and often referred to as "Grandfather" or "Grandmother".  The Drum teaches us the importance of working together and of listening to each other."

Mr. Lockwood is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Nation of Montana and has worked in Indian Education since 1989 for various tribal schools and Title VII Indian Education programs.  Mr. Lockwood has worked as a Cultural Program Aide for the School Tours program of the American Indian Center of Chicago and the Black Hawk State Historic Site.  He is also the recipient of the 2003 and 2004 Quad City Arts "Individiual Artist" grant bringing his Native American Heritage Perspective into the classroom.

 "Doing business with Native People means doing business with friends"

 That is a comment that I have made many times during my 27 years as a Native American art gallery owner.  There are no contracts or written agreements in my industry...but there is plenty of trust, friendship and respect.  I founded my gallery on these principles and I promise that I will personally make every effort to make your visit to the gallery a wonderful experience.

The gallery is the definition of down to earth while at the same time projecting the sophistication of a cosmopolitan art gallery.  In an atmosphere of warmth and welcome, you will experience a co-mingling of peacefulness with the excitement of the latest and finest authentic Native American jewelry.

All of our offerings are hand selcted, unique and authentic.

I invite you to visit and let me share the stories that the artwork has to tell.

Walk in Beauty,

Janet Smith, Owner
